Political matters should not be settled by retired judges: Fawad Chaudhry
Former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, has said that it is not appropriate to settle political matters through retired judges.
He advices that the services of the sitting judges should be utilized for this purpose, instead.
“Political matters require special attention, so their hearings should be conducted by sitting judges only,” Chaudhry said, while addressing the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore.
Fawad Chaudhry also said on a wall that the decision of the Election Commission not to file a review petition against the Supreme Court’s verdict is a good one.

The central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had reached the Anti-Terrorism Court along with his wife Hiba on May 9 for the hearing of the case related to the burning of vehicles near Jinnah House. The court had adjourned the hearing.
