Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf worker Sanam Javed was produced in district court in Islamabad amid heavy security on Sunday.

A heavy contingent of police was posted outside the court ahead of Javed’s arrival, with a sizable number of female members also present.

Javed, under custody since last year, was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency after she was released from Gujranwala.

FIA arrested Javed in a case related to tweets made on May 9 last year.
