Petrol, diesel prices likely to surge in July

There is a possibility of another increase in petrol and diesel prices in the next two days.

The per liter price of petrol is expected to increase by approximately Rs7.68, while the per liter price of diesel is expected to surge by Rs3.72 from July 16.

The price increase will be effective for the next 15 days, starting from July 16.

After implementation of the new prices, the per liter price of petrol will become Rs273.29 and the price of diesel will become Rs281.17 per liter.

The government had previously increased the price of petrol by Rs7.45 per liter from July 1 to July 15, after which the per liter price of petrol stood at Rs265.61.
