No place for those who left PTI in difficult times, says Raoof Hasan
The PTI has no place for those who did not stand with the party during its difficult times, Raoof Hasan the PTI central information secretary, has said as he described them as “the rats who jump the ship when it’s wobbly”.
“They should not think about the party,” he said while appearing on the News Insight with Amir Zia aired on Aaj News on Tuesday.
He was asked about former party leader Fawad Chaudhry’s claim that there was no chance of former prime minister Imran Khan being freed from prison as long as the current leadership held the party reins.
The former information minister had parted ways with the PTI in May 2023 when a crackdown was launched on the party.
Hassan claimed that such politicians were the establishment touts and released to create divisions in the party. Since they left, he said that PTI’s ideologue group has taken over the party and those who have been with the party and ideologue would not leave the party and Imran Khan
“They have no space in the party,” the PTI’s central information secretary and added that the party needed leaders who were brave and resolute with them.
He rebuffed the perception that there were groups within the party and explained that different people have different opinions.

When asked, he said that PkMAP head Mehmood Khan Achakzai had approached Khan and asked him if he would engage other political parties. “Khan Sb has told him that if you want to do it by yourself then you are allowed and if you have substantive proposals then we will see it.”
