How Sonakshi Sinha is related to Pakistan’s General Ziaul Haq
Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has recently been making headlines on social media for her marriage to a Muslim man.
Many people are not aware of the connection between Sonakshi Sinha’s family and the family of General Zia-ul-Haq, Pakistan’s former military ruler who died in a plane crash in 1988.
But his family’s connection with Sinhas is still alive to this day.
There was a time when Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha and mother Poonam Sinha used to visit Pakistan specifically to meet General Zia-ul-Haq and his wife.
Shatrughan Sinha and the family of General Zia have had close relations, which continue to this day.

General Zia saw Shatrughan Sinha, his wife, and children visiting Pakistan, where they spent time with General Zia’s family.
Shatrughan Sinha considers General Zia’s family as his own.
This is why General Zia’s daughter Zain Zia has been referred to as Shatrughan Sinha’s sister, and Zain Zia also considers Shatrughan Sinha as her brother.
Old family photographs suggest this was a close brother-sister relation. The bond lived after the death of Gen Zia.
When Zain married her children she invited Sinha to Islamabad for the wedding ceremony.
Given the nature of their relations, it is assumed that Sinhas must have invited Zia family to India for Sonakshi’s wedding.
But in view of Pakistan-India tense relations securing visa for the family of a former Pakistani general may not be easy.

Only a month ago, Sonakshi Sinha went viral for her role as ‘Fareen’ in the film ‘Heira Mandi’, but now she is in the news for her planned marriage to actor Zaheer Iqbal.
