Naqvi says ‘major surgery’ needed after Pakistan’s defeat against India
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi has expressed the need for ‘major surgery’ after Pakistan’s bad performance in the match against India.
After the match, Naqvi spoke with reporters, saying that the June 9 cricket defeat by the hands of India was disappointing as the Pakistan team is at their lowest level in cricket.
Naqvi stated that it seemed that after the defeat in yesterday’s match, there was a need for major changes in the team.
Chairman PCB said that the nation will soon see a big change to improve the team performance which will be a challenge.
“The team will prepare for the Champions Trophy and it brings a new opportunity to launch new talent,” he said.

The PCB chairman further said that the nation does not expect a disappointing performance from the cricket team.
In the match, the Indian team scored 119 and gained victory over Pakistan by 6 runs in the T20 World Cup 2024.
