Saudi Arabian football team arrives in Pak for FIFA qualifier
The Saudi Arabia National Football Team has arrived in Pakistan for the first time, marking their participation in the second round of FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. The two teams will face off in Islamabad tomorrow.
The Saudi Arabian team arrived in Islamabad on a chartered flight from Riyadh, where they were welcomed by the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki.
Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood, and PFF officials were also present at the airport. The team was escorted to their hotel under tight security.
The home match between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is scheduled for June 6 at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad. This is the first time the Saudi Arabian football team has visited Pakistan.
The team is currently headed by legendary Italian coach Roberto Mancini. Ivorian footballer Yaya Toure serves as the team’s coach.
