JI announces sit-in outside CM House

Party says protecting citizens is job of govt

The Karachi chapter of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has threatened to encircle the Chief Minister’s House and hold a sit-in next week if the Sindh government fails to improve the city’s security situation.

Addressing a press conference at the Idara Noor-e-Haq in Karachi, JI Karachi Emir, Munim Zafar, stated that while the party is in contact with the administration, they will proceed with the protest if the city’s conditions don’t improve.

“We have already launched the ‘Haq Do Karachi’ movement,” Zafar said. “We will not leave Karachi alone in the future.”

Zafar emphasized that protecting citizens is the responsibility of the administration and government and they must fulfill this duty.
