Mustafa Kamal tenders apology in contempt of court case

Kamal stated that he holds the highest respect for the judges of the SC

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader Mustafa Kamal has issued an unconditional apology for his recent remarks against the judiciary.

Kamal submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court Karachi Registry, expressing his regret for his statements.

In his affidavit, Kamal stated that he holds the highest respect for the judges of the Supreme Court and could not even imagine undermining the authority and reputation of the judiciary.

He further emphasized that he tenders an unconditional apology for all his statements regarding the judiciary, particularly his press conference on May 16th.

Kamal concluded his affidavit by requesting forgiveness from the honorable court and placing himself at its mercy.

The Supreme Court had previously issued contempt of court notices to Senator Faisal Vawda and Mustafa Kamal for their anti-judiciary remarks. The hearing for the contempt of court case against both leaders is scheduled for tomorrow.
