Punjab govt launches online cattle markets
In a move to ease the burden of Eid-ul-Adha shopping, the Punjab government has launched online cattle markets, allowing citizens to purchase sacrificial animals from the comfort of their homes.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the initiative, stating that it aims to provide convenience and relief to the public, particularly during the scorching summer months.
The online markets will operate alongside traditional cattle markets, providing a wider range of options for buyers. CM Sharif has instructed authorities to ensure that the online markets offer competitive prices and a diverse selection of animals.
The Punjab Cattle Company has developed a dedicated app where vendors can upload images of their animals. Buyers can browse the app, select their preferred animal, and make online payments.
