Oscar Winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph joins cast of A24’s upcoming romantic comedy “Eternity”
Oscar-winning actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph has joined the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy “Eternity” from A24. The film, directed by David Freyne, also stars Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, and Callum Turner.
While the plot details of “Eternity” remain under wraps, the movie is described as a romantic comedy where the characters must decide who they want to spend eternity with. The screenplay was written by Patrick Cunnane, known for his work on the TV thriller “Designated Survivor.”
Randolph, who recently won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in “The Holdovers,” is making her first feature film with A24 on this project. The actress gained widespread acclaim for her breakout role on Broadway in “Ghost: The Musical” and has since delivered memorable performances in films like “Dolemite Is My Name” and “The Lost City.”
In addition to her film work, Randolph is also expected to receive her first Emmy nomination in the guest comedy actress category for her role in the third season of Hulu’s hit series “Only Murders in the Building.”
“Eternity” is being financed by A24 and produced by Oscar-nominated producers Trevor White and Tim White under their company Star Thrower Entertainment. Olsen and Teller will also serve as executive producers on the film, which is set to begin production this summer.
