Riley Keough appreciates swift legal actions in Graceland property case
Riley Keough, the granddaughter of the late Elvis Presley, has expressed her gratitude for the swift legal measures taken to halt a potential foreclosure sale of the iconic Graceland estate.
According to a source close to Keough, the actress was initially “pretty shocked and confused” by the situation, but is now relieved that the courts have stepped in to protect her family’s legacy.
“Riley is appreciative of the swift legal actions that stopped the foreclosure sale,” the insider told People magazine. “She’ll do anything to protect Graceland.”
The source was referring to a 60-page lawsuit filed by Keough’s attorneys on May 20th, which alleged that Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC had attempted to “defraud” the Presley family into selling the estate through forged documents.
Just three days later, on May 22nd, a judge halted the planned foreclosure auction, stating that under state law, any sale or “loss” of Graceland would be considered “irreparable harm.”
In a statement, Graceland and Elvis Presley Enterprises praised the court’s decision, declaring that “there was no validity to the claims” and that “Graceland will continue to operate as it has for the past 42 years.”
The iconic property, which served as Elvis Presley’s home and is now a major tourist attraction, has remained in the Presley family’s care since the legendary musician’s passing in 1977.
Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, has vowed to do everything in her power to protect her grandfather’s legacy and ensure Graceland remains in the family’s hands.
