Rawalpindi man files case for rape inside Adiala Jail
A man has filed a complaint with the Saddar Police Station in Rawalpindi alleging gang rape while he was incarcerated at Adiala Jail.
The incident allegedly occurred the night before his release.
The victim, who was arrested by the Shalimar Police Station on charges of theft, was sent to jail after his arrest. He claims that he was subjected to sexual assault by two inmates, Zakirullah and Sahil, on the night of May 18 at around 11 pm.
According to the complaint, the victim reported the incident to the Deputy Jail Superintendent, who advised him to bring the matter to the attention of the Jail Superintendent the following morning.

However, due to the victim’s scheduled court appearance the next day, he was unable to meet the Jail Superintendent and was taken to court instead. The court released him as his sentence had been completed.
Following his release, the victim filed his complaint at the Saddar Police Station. The police have registered a case based on the victim’s statement.
The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety and security of inmates within Adiala Jail. The police are currently investigating the matter.
