PM approves committee to get consensus for PECA amendments
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has given approval for the fomation of a committee to generate consensus for amendments in the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Prevention Act.
The committee, tasked with amending the Pakistan Electronic Crime Preventions Act, will prepare its recommendations through political consensus and present them to the Prime Minister within 15 days.
A formal notification for the establishment of the committee has been issued by the Prime Minister’s Office. The nine-member committee will be led by Rana Sanaullah.
The committee includes Federal Ministers Nazir Tarar, Ata Tarar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister of State Shazia Fatima, MNA Nawabzada Khalid Magsi, Senator Sherry Rehman, and Attorney General Mansoor Awan.
