At fan’s request, PTI’s Sher Afzal Marwat will quit smoking in 15 days
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sher Afzal Khan Marwat has vowed to quit smoking in 15 days after one of his followers told him that they were concerned about his tobacco addiction.
“I am doing wrong and I want to tell you that I will leave smoking within 15 days,” he said in response to a query from audience while appearing on Hasna Mana Hai.
When host Tabish Hasmi asked about the time, he said that there was a reaction from the Pakistani people and former prime minister Imran Khan has also expressed his wish for him to quit smoking.
“I have asked 15 days to adapt myself for nicotine and after 15 days I will announce that I have to quit it [smoking] and I am sooner quitting it,” Marwat said.
Marwat, a lawyer, is known for his outspoken demeanour and appeared as one of the PTI’s prominent leaders after the May 9 events when most of the leaders went into hiding after police launched a crackdown on protesters.
He explained that he became a judge at the age of 22 after clearing the commission examination.
When asked, the PTI leader said that he liked American actress and filmmaker Angelina Jolie because of her acting and philanthropic works in Pakistan.
