Seven labourers killed in brutal attack in Gwadar

Unknown armed individuals carried out a brutal attack on a residential quarter in Gwadar, killing seven labourers and leaving one injured.

The assailants targeted the house in Surbandar area of Gwadar, leaving behind a trail of bodies and wounded individuals at around 3:3am on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

The bodies were discovered Thursday morning.

Initial reports suggested the victims were from Punjab’s Khanewal region and worked as barbers in the area.

They had rented a small house by polling money.

In similar attacks in the past, labourers from the Punjab province have been targeted.

Promptly responding to the distress call, the local authorities and medical teams swiftly transported the deceased and injured to Gwadar Hospital.

The Balochistan government has condemned the attack saying innocent labourers were targeted.

Surbandar was originally a small fishing village separate from Gwadar, but it is now considered part of larger Gwadar.

The authorities are trying to contact the victim’s families to inform them of the incident.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has vowed to eliminate terrorists and their facilitators, stating that there is no place for them in the province.

He condemned the incident as an act of blatant terrorism and directed the authorities to take strict action against the perpetrators.

Balochistan Provincial Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has stated that the killing of unarmed laborers was a cowardly act and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Pakistan Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Raza Naqvi expressed deep grief and sorrow over the killing of seven individuals and offered condolences to the families of the victims.
