PMLN MPA attacks SIC lawmaker’s house in Peshawar
A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) has been accused of attacking the home of a Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) in Peshawar.
According to reports, PML-N MPA Malik Tariq Awan, accompanied by a large number of armed men, stormed the home of PTI MNA Muhammad Asif on Monday.
CCTV footage of the incident shows Awan making obscene gestures.
Asif was not present at home at the time of the incident, as he was attending a parliamentary party meeting in Islamabad.
Awan has denied the allegations, claiming that the accusation of attacking and firing at Asif’s home is false and fabricated. He said that the PTI is unable to digest its defeat and is therefore making all sorts of accusations.

He added that he had gone to Asif’s home to discuss the inauguration of a bridge, as there is an ongoing competition between them regarding development work.
Awan further claimed that the construction of the bridge in Latifabad was approved by the caretaker provincial government, and that Asif is upset about its inauguration.
He said that the PTI, and Asif in particular, are afraid of his performance and that the provincial government should take notice of the political vendetta against him.
Asif has not yet commented on the incident.
