PTI announces country-wide protest on May 9

Decision taken in meeting in KP House

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a nationwide protest on May 9 after a key huddle by party members.

Addressing the parliamentary party meeting at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad, PTI General Secretary Omar Ayub said that the party will hold a peaceful and full-fledged protest across Pakistan on May 9.

The parliamentary party meeting was attended by members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, senators, and party leaders from across the country.

Opposition Leader Omar Ayub said in his address to the meeting that after a long time, the PTI party meeting is being held here again. He said that the party leaders and workers have endured a lot to reach this point and that their workers and leaders have been put behind bars.

Ayub said that PTI founder Imran Khan had said that they would not lose heart until the last ball. He added that in a meeting with Khan, he had given a message to his brave workers and praised their courage and courage, saying that they should continue to stand firm.

Ayub said that the PTI will hold a peaceful and full-fledged protest across Pakistan on May 9. He added that only the founder chairman can give the call for a sit-in and that after consultation with him, Shoaib Shaheen has been given the task of organizing the protest.

The meeting will also endorse the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s plan to “capture” Islamabad. Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur had announced that if the federal government does not pay the province’s dues, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will march on Islamabad, stage a sit-in in the center, and bring down the government.

The meeting will also finalize the plan of action for May 9 and decide on the steps to be taken in the parliamentary and political arena.
