The anticipation for Eid-ul Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice, is building up in Karachi and various parts of the country as the festival approaches. This major Islamic event brings excitement as people prepare to spend time with their sacrificial animals.
Ahead of the occasion, the management of Karachi’s cattle market has announced the establishment of a market in Taiser Town on the Northern Bypass, starting from May 10.
To facilitate animal purchases, the organizers will set up ATMs and temporary bank branches to facilitate cash withdrawals. Additionally, an ambulance will be available at the market to provide emergency medical assistance.
In 2024, Eid-ul Adha is expected to be celebrated in mid-June. The central cattle market is scheduled to be operational in the first week of May, allowing people to make their purchases in preparation for the upcoming festival. As a result, it is anticipated that people will enjoy a five-day break during the Eid-ul Adha holidays this year.
