Update on Dubai airport flight operation resumption

Authorities reopen Terminal 3 for two airlines

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has reopened Terminal 3 for Emirates and FlyDubai flights. However, passengers are expected a high volume of guests at the terminal, the airport authorities said in an update on Thursday morning.

Airport authorities advised passengers to confirm their flight departures from their respective airlines before leaving for the airport to avoid unnecessary delays.

They are working for passengers to ensure that they reach their intended destinations.

Reports said at least 1,244 flights were cancelled and 41 were diverted at Dubai International (DXB) due to heavy rainfall on Tuesday.

The airport was closed resuming operation only on Thursday morning.

The airport authorities that Dubai International (DXB) started accepting inbound flights of international airlines operating out of Terminal 1 on Thursday (today)

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) experienced the heaviest rains in 75 years on Tuesday.

It resulted in extensive flooding throughout residential neighbourhoods in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and surrounding regions.

The government has urged private sector organizations to enable their workforce to operate remotely from home.

Efforts are underway by authorities to effectively manage the situation and prioritize the safety and welfare of the populace.
