Unknown men fire shots outside Salman Khan’s house

The men managed to flee before being apprehended

During the early hours of Sunday, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle fired three gunshots outside the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

The incident took place at approximately 4:51 am when the two individuals fired three shots initially, followed by four more, before quickly fleeing the scene near Galaxy Apartments, where Salman Khan resides.

In response to the incident, security has been heightened outside Salman Khan’s house. CCTV footage captured the motorcycle-borne assailants speeding towards the actor’s residence.

The crime branch, local police, and forensic teams arrived at the location to conduct an investigation. The forensic team recovered bullet casings that were fired outside Salman Khan’s house.

At the DCP office in Mumbai, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DSP), Additional DSP, and other officials provided updates and information to the investigation team.

This incident occurs amidst threats made by incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted gangster Goldie Brar, who have previously announced their intentions to harm Salman Khan. According to sources quoted by India Today, Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar had dispatched their shooters to Mumbai with the aim of targeting the actor.

In 2018, Lawrence Bishnoi’s associate Sampat Nehra conducted a reconnaissance of Salman Khan’s residence. However, the Haryana Police apprehended Sampat Nehra before he could carry out the attack. During interrogation, Nehra disclosed the entire plan to target Salman Khan.

Due to the continued threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gangs, the Mumbai Police have deployed teams in three shifts to ensure the security of Salman Khan’s house.

Considering the threats posed by Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, Salman Khan has been provided with weapons and trained security personnel for his safety. He has also obtained a personal weapon license, allowing him to carry a firearm.

The Mumbai Police became alert after Salman Khan received a death threat via email, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in March of the previous year.

In an interview with Aaj Tak/India Today, Goldie Brar had previously stated that Salman Khan was their target and that he and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang would attack the actor if given the opportunity.
