“The Glassworker is a work of art created by Usman Riaz and Mano Animation Studios, and we are thrilled to be bringing it to Pakistani cinemas for audiences to enjoy in both Urdu and English. The film is a landmark title for Pakistani cinema; never before has the country produced a hand-drawn animated film of this quality,” the Head of Mandviwalla Entertainment, Nadeem Mandviwalla, said in his statement.

This movie will feature English and Urdu languages, both.

The post highlighted that the movie marks a milestone for the Pakistani film industry, as this kind of art has not been produced before in the country.

Mano Animation Studios has collaborated with Mandviwalla Entertainment to produce this film.

For this project, the company also boarded people from different countries including Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Peru, Argentina, Spain, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.

Many young and talented individuals participated in the making of this film, whose ages ranged from 27 to 52 years.

The Glassworker is the story of two children from different backgrounds. One character is named Vincent the Glassworker and Aliz, a violinist coming-of-age story of two children from different walks of life, Vincent the Glassworker and Aliz, who visit Vincent’s shop. The film showcases how these two characters are affected by difficulties in life.

This project is described as full of surprises that support diversity in the Pakistani animation and film industries.

This project was displayed at the Cannes Film Festival and France’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2023.

“The Glassworker is a truly remarkable project spearheaded by the gifted trio of Usman, Mariam, and Khizer, alongside a team of young artists in Pakistan who are igniting a creative revolution in South Asia through their exceptional work,” Indian producer Apoorva Bakshi, who boarded the movie’s team, said.

The movie gained popularity both locally and globally.

Chinese audiences were beguiled by Mano Animation Studios’ The Glassworker in 2023.
