Islamabad gets new IGP, home secretary as govt reshuffles bureaucracy
In a major reshuffle of senior officers of the bureaucracy, the federal government has changed the inspector general of police and the home secretary in Islamabad.
Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has replaced Akbar Nasir Khan as the new top police officer in the federal capital, according to the notification issued by the Establishment Division on Friday.
Prior to his new assignment, Rizvi was the DIG Operations in Lahore. Meanwhile, the former IGP has been asked to report the division.
Trade Secretary Capt (retd) Khurram Agha has been appointed the new home secretary. Before this, he was posted as commerce secretary.
Moreover, Interior Division Additional Secretary Flt Lt (retd) Khushal Khan has been transferred and posted as the additional secretary for the Power Division.
