Rain lowers temperatures in Islamabad and KP
Light rain in Islamabad in the early hours of Friday lowered temperatures after a dry warm spell.
Temperatures are expected to hover between 25 and 27 degrees in the capital. However, the rain is not expected to persist over the next two days.
Upper areas of Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Chakwal and Jhelum also received rain bringing respite from the continuously rising temperatures.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haripur, Abbottabad, Swat, Chitral, Dir and Malam Jabba received rain while upper altitude areas can receive snow later in the day.
The rain brought down temperatures considerably in the province, with the lowest being 10 degrees recorded in Dir and Malam Jabba.
Gilgit, Astore and Hunza in GB and Muzaffarabad and Rawlakot in AJK are expected to receive rain and snow thruoghout the day.
Meanwhile, weather in Sindh and Balochistan is expected to remain hot and dry with temperatures rising as far as mid-30 degrees.
In Karachi, the temperature is expected to remain between 34-36 degrees Celsius while in Sukkur temperatures can soar as high as 39 degrees.
