‘Christian Bale of Bollywood’: Fans praise Randeep Hooda’s transformation for movie
Fans of Indian actor Randeep Hooda were in awe of his transformation for his new movie ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’, reminding them of famous Hollywood actor Christian Bale character in The Machinist.
His admirers did not know much about his character in the more than three-minute trailer of the movie released two weeks ago, however, when the actor uploaded one of his pictures from the movie fans were shocked to see him.
“KAALA PAANI,” he wrote in a post where he shared his monochrome mirror picture. He lost much weight for the role in the movie where the lead character is behind bars.
‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’ is Hooda’s directorial debut and scheduled to be released on March 22.
A couple of social users in the comments section described the Highway actor as “Christian Bale of Bollywood” for his transformation as the Hollywood actor had also maintained an extremely skinny physique for his role as factory worker Trevor Reznik in the 2004 movie.
The movie was well received by critics, with praise for Bale’s performance, and grossed $8.2 million on a $5 million budget.
The Indian movie is produced by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Randeep Hooda, and Yogesh Rahar. It is co-produced by Roopa Pandit, Sam Khan, Anwar Ali, and Panchali Chakraborty. The movie stars Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, and Amit Sial. It will be released in two languages: Hindi and Marathi
Hooda is known for playing intense roles and giving his best to the roles. He has been praised for his roles in thriller, romantic, and drama movies.
