Security forces on Friday killed four terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.

During the operation conducted on the reported presence of terrorists, an intense fire exchange took place between troops and the terrorists, it added.

The fighting resulted in the killing of four terrorists who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area, according to ISPR.

“Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists,” it said.

Meanwhile, the security forces conducted sanitisation operation to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. “Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.”
