The authorities in Saudi Arabia introduced a new educational visa programme to attract international students and scholars to its universities, Gulf News reported on Friday.

The move is a joint effort by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen its educational and research sectors.

Foreign students can access the new visa framework via the “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform to enrol in Saudi universities.

With the introduction of the service, the authorities aim to streamline the application process for foreign students by building a connection between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other relevant entities.

The “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform was developed with the aim of simplifying the admission process to Saudi universities, offering a range of academic, training, and research programmes.
