Indian actress Deepika Padukone announced on Thursday that she is pregnant and expecting to give birth to a baby in September this year.

The Om Shanti Om actor said this in a post on Instagram which was also shared by her husband Ranveer Singh.

September 2024 was written in the post with the names of the couple at the bottom.

The power couple also known as DeepVeer married in 2018 in Italy. The wedding, located at the Villa del Balbianello resort in Lake Como, Italy, took place according to Deepika’s South Indian customs.

Last week, a source told The Week that Deepika is currently in her second trimester and is soon expected to make the official announcement.

Speculations started after she allegedly tried to hide her stomach on the 77th BAFTA red carpet in London. She donned a shimmery saree and custom jewellery by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for the awards ceremony.

The two would be seen together in Singham again. The movie may hit cinemas this year.
