PTI nominates Shibli Faraz for chairmanship of PTI-P: sources
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has nominated Shibli Faraz for the chairmanship of PTI-Parliamentarians, sources within the party said on Monday, as matters related to allying with the two sides enter final stages.
If all goes well, then Faraz would lead the faction of the party, they said and added that Imran Khan’s party wanted to have chairmanship, vice chairmanship, and general secretary seats within itself.
Such a decision was taken against the backdrop of the experience the party had in Punjab after the ouster of Khan through a no-confidence vote when the matters related to the names hit a snag.
Party leaders would approach Khan after reaching a consensus with the PTI-P
The PTI is looking to form a coalition government in the province. The former prime minister has nominated Ali Amin Gandapur as the party’s candidate for the KP chief minister position.
