Gold extend gains to reach Rs213,200/tola in Pakistan
The price of gold increased by Rs800 and was standing at Rs213,200 per tola for selling on February 19 compared with its earlier price of Rs212,400, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
Likewise, the price of 10 grammes of gold also increased by Rs686 to settle at Rs182,785 from the previous price of Rs182,099.
The prices of 10 grammes 22 karat gold went up to Rs167,553 as against the earlier price of Rs166,924.
Meanwhile, the price of silver decreased by Rs30 to hit Rs2,550 per tola while 10 grammes of silver declined by Rs25.72 to Rs.2,186.21 in the local market.
In the international market, gold ticked up a day earlier but was on course for a second straight weekly fall after hot inflation data cooled prospects of early rate cuts by the Federal Reserve. Spot gold was up 0.4% to $2,012.86 per ounce, but has lost 0.6% for the week so far. US gold futures settled 0.5% higher to $2024.1.
