ECP removes NA-15 Mansehra returning officer
The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday notified the removal of the returning officer (RO) of Mansehra’s NA-19 constituency where former prime minister Nawaz Sharif lost to a PTI-backed independent candidate.
The electoral watchdog replaced Hajra Sami with Zakir Jadoon for the National Assembly constituency a day after it dismissed Sharif’s application for stopping the notification of the.
It is pertinent to mention that PTI-backed independent candidate Shahzada Gustasap Khan defeated the PML-N supremo in the election held on February 8.
The three-time former prime minister filed a petition on February 10 challenging the election result of NA-15 Mansehra.
