PTI posts purported Imran Khan photo from jail
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf posted a photo of Imran Khan, claiming it was taken inside Adiala Jail.
“Chairman Imran Khan’s picture from Jail. On his side Vice Kaptaan SM,” the party wrote in the caption
Khan can be seen wearing a black jacket in the photo and is leaning towards Qureshi, who is half visible.
Lawyer Abuzar Niazi is also visible in the photograph.
THe Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief and former prime minister has not been seen in public since his arrest on August 5 last year in the Toshakhana case.
Although implicated in a number of cases, all hearings have taken place inside jail premises instead of him being bruoght to hearings. Trials in the jail have taken place in secrecy, with only selected members of media being allowed.
The reporters have claimed that their phones are deposted before being allowed entry into the prison.
He has already been sentenced to 14 years in jail in the Toshakhana case, 10 years in the cipher case and seven years in the illegal nikkah case.
