Army Chief General Asim Munir has called upon Pakistan’s youth to reject propaganda on social media that promotes despondency.

At the Pakistan National Youth Conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, COAS Munir said that society cannot progress without ‘positive thinking’.

He added that news published on social media must be checked before it is believed.

He added that the army can fight terrorists but the entire nation would have to work together to fight terrorism.

COAS Munir said that the purpose of creating Pakistan was that the Muslims’ religion, civilisation, and culture were different from the Hindu community in every aspect.

He called on the people to not adopt Western civilisation and culture.

The youth should have confidence in their homeland, nation, culture, civilisation, he said, adding that the youth of Pakistan should believe that they are the descendant of a great homeland and nation.

The young generation of Pakistan is the custodian of the traditions of the country which was established on the foundation of faith similar to the state of Medinah, COAS Munir stated.
