**The jewellers association in Pakistan has announced the latest gold rates for January 18, indicating a massive decrease of Rs3,600 per tola in the price of the precious metal.

The increase has taken the price of gold to Rs213,700 per tola.

According to the Sarafa association, the 10-gram price of gold also saw a sharp decline, falling by Rs3,087 to Rs183,213.

Internationally, spot gold fell by 0.2% to $2,024.49 per ounce, a one-week low.
