The International Cricket Council published its latest rankings for Test batsmen on Wednesday, with star Pakistani batsman Babar Azam dropping two spots.

Azam, who struggled in the recent series against Australia, is now at the the eighth spot in the rankings with 768 points.

New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson has retained his spot at the top of the list, with Joe Root close behind him at the second spot.

No other Pakistani batsman has made it to the Top 10. However, Saud Shakeel is at the 14th spot and Muhammad Rizwan tied for 17th.

In the Test bowlers ranking, Shaheen Shah Afridi is the lone Pakistani in the Top 20 and is currently at the 12th spot.

The updated rankings have been published after Pakistan’s dismal showing against Australia where they were whitewashed in the three test series.
