Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye have reiterated the strategic intent to increase the scope of trilateral cooperation and the need to enhance the pace of collaboration in pursuit of common goals, the Inter-Services Public Relations reported.

This came during the second meeting of the trilateral defence collaboration held at the GHQ, Rawalpindi on January 8, 2024.

In a statement, the military’s media wing said that it was an opportunity to discuss prospective collaboration in defence equipment technologies including research and development.

“The three sides reaffirmed the importance of combining the intellectual, technical, financial and human resources of the three friendly nations towards the achievement of shared objectives and attainment of self-sufficiency in the defence domain,” it added.

The three sides agreed to convene the next meeting on the Trilateral Defence Industrial Collaboration during the World Defence Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in February 2024.
