The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday announced to extend winter vacations in primary schools across the province till January 13.

All public and private primary schools will now remain closed till Jan 13 while the timings of middle, high and higher schools have also been revised.

This is the second time the KP government has extended the winter vacations in the province. On December 30, 2023, winter vacations were extended till January 7 owing to training programme of teachers for elections and extreme cold in the province.

Initially, the schools were scheduled to open on January 1, however, these educational institutions will now remain closed till Jan 13, 2024.
