Saudi Arabia needs around 2,000 personal drivers in different cities in 2024, according to the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment on Wednesday.

Pakistanis can reach out to the recruiters through the bureau’s website for further information regarding the job.

The drivers are needed in several cities of the kingdom on salary ranging from SAR1,000 (Rs75,200) to a maximum of SAR1,800 (Rs135,360) while some of the jobs also include benefits such as free accommodation, food, ticket, medical, health insurance and free transportation.

Personal drivers typically work for companies or high-earning individuals. They transport clients between destinations and are also known as chauffeurs who usually drive luxury cars.

It is pertinent to mention that Saudi Arabia has long been the main source of workers’ remittances for Pakistan among other Middle Eastern and European countries.

In November 2023, Pakistani expats in Saudi Arabia sent $540.3 million in remittance followed by the UAE ($409.4 million), the UK ($341.7 million) and the USA ($261.5 million).
