Electricity ‘load management’ to hit Islamabad and Peshawar
Islamabad Electric Supply Company announced the beginning of load management across the city due to low demand on Monday.
In a post on X, IESCO said a gap between supply and demand had emerged in its region necessitating load management.
It added that loads would be managed across all circles for six to eight hours. However, the load management would end when the supply was restored.
IESCO also reposted another post by an additional director from the IESCO, saying that 17 feeders had been manually switched off in G-9 after a fire.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Electric Supply Company also announced that residents of the region would face ‘forced’ load management over the next few days.
PESCO said that that circuits often trip due to technical faults leading to decrease in supply.
The company added that the load management was a result of difference between supply and demand.
