Saudi Arabia has officially opened registration for Hajj 2024 on Monday, with just over six months left before the annual pilgrimage begins.

Aspiring pilgrims can apply for Haj through the Nusuk Hajj application, which is run by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Muslims from all over the world can apply for Hajj through the Nusuk application which is a one-stop platform and provides different packages based on a person’s needs.

Hajj is one of five pillars of Islam and is obligatory on anyone who can afford the journey.

Although the annual pilgrimage had been scaled down during the covi-19 pandemic, it was full restored to its full strength in 2022 with over 1.8 million people arriving in Makkah to perform it.

Out of these, over 1.6 million pilgrims came to perform Hajj from outside Saudi Arabia including over 160,000 Pakistanis.

As the Hajj was restored to its old scale, the Saudi government had also removed the age restriction of 65 years for pilgrims.

This year, Pakistan has faced a slower response in Hajj applications. However, thousands of Pakistanis are still expected to attend the pilgrimage.
