Bilawal to contest elections from Lahore: sources
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has decided to contest elections from Lahore, sources said on Thursday.
The sources added that Bilawal’s nomination papers have already been submitted in NA-124.
Along with Bilawal, Misbah ur Rehman will contest elections from PP-169 and Hafiz Ghulam Moheyuddin will contest elections from PP-170.
The party is aiming to run an active campaign in Punjab to make inroads into the province where it has had little success in the past two elections.
Bilawal has already filed nomination papers from NA-194 Larkana, his hometown constituency.
The Election Commission of Pakistan gave hopeful candidates three days from December 20 to 22 for the filing of nomination papers which will be followed by a scrutiny process.
