The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday reserved the verdict on a petition of PTI leader Asad Qaiser against his arrest under Section 3 of the Maintenance and Public Order (MPO).

A two-member bench led by PHC Chief Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan conducted the hearing on the case related to the arrest of Qaiser and former MNA Mujahid Khan.

During the proceedings, CJ Khan remarked that the court never bothered over allegations leveled by people as it had no liking for any political party.

The court told the advocate general to inform the deputy commissioner to take back the 3MPO order or the court will take action against him.

The court remarked that questions were being asked during the proceedings for upholding the law and the constitution.
