Utility stores cut prices of major branded cooking oils
The price changes have been implemented with immediate effecct
In a major relief to the public, the Utility Stores Corporation cut the prices of branded cooking oils on Thursday.
The price of branded ghee saw a Rs17 decrease, dropping from Rs499 to Rs482 per kilogram.
Pries were also slashed for cooking oils from two brands, one falling by Rs37 from Rs555 to Rs518 per litre while another fell by Rs48 to go from Rs470 to Rs422 per litre.
The price changes will be effective immediately. The Corporation is reportedly planning to cut prices for other items as well.
