Another party asks ECP to allot ‘bat’ symbol
While the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf continues to eagerly await the allotment of the bat symbol before the elections approach, another party has stepped forward to try to claim its symbol.
The Hum Awam Pakistan party filed a requested with the ECP on Monday saying that PTI has failed in organising free and fair intra-party elections.
Filed by party Chiarman Amjad Chaudhry, the request says that the bat symbol is currently not assigned to any party and no party has requested it either.
The request says that since the HAP party has not been given a symbol yet, it should be given the bat symbol.
Earlier, the ECP had directed the PTI to hold intra-party elections or risk losing its electoral symbol.
