No talks yet on seat adjustment with PML-N: Abdul Aleem Khan
The president of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Abdul Aleem Khan, dismissed rumours regarding seat adjustment with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the upcoming elections.
While speaking in Lahore, he stated: “We have not brought up the issue of seat adjustment with the PML-N in the CEC. Once we have authorization from the party’s CEC, we will make the decision.’’
Aleem Khan said, “In politics, forming alliances is perfectly acceptable. But it’s best to refrain from turning political disagreements into interpersonal conflicts.”
Reacting to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the IPP president said, “It is good to see that Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.”
He made it clear that Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen to inquire after the latter. “Now Jahangir Khan Tareen has reached to meet Shehbaz Sharif. Such meetings embrace the goodwill gesture and are not about discussing any specific agenda,” Aleem Khan said.
Speaking about the possibility of seat adjustment with the Pakistan Peoples Party, Aleem Khan said: “The PPP has not contacted us about opting for the seat adjustment.
