Police in Sindh’s Khairpur district initiated investigations after the body of a female medical student was found in the girls’ hostel of Khairpur Medical College on Tuesday.

Police said that they arrived at the scene after the college administration informed them about the discovery of the body.

The body of the female student was moved to the Khairpur Civil Hospital while investigations have been initiated, they added.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sneha Joti, a resident of Daharki in the Ghotki district.

She was MBBS student in her final year.
