T20 series between Pakistan and the Netherlands postponed

The T20 tour of Pakistan to the Netherlands, initially planned for May next year

The T20 series between Pakistan and the Netherlands scheduled for next year has been postponed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested the Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB) to postpone the series, due to scheduling clashes.

The T20 tour of Pakistan to the Netherlands, initially planned for May next year, has been deferred on PCB’s request.

High-Performance Manager Of The Netherlands Cricket Board Ronald Lefbrev said that the series was postponed due to the schedule of the Pakistan cricket team and the workload of the players.

Both boards are now exploring alternative dates to reschedule the series. Initially, Pakistan had expressed their intention to revisit the Netherlands following their CWC Super League series in Rotterdam in 2022.

It’s worth noting that Pakistan recently finalised two five-match T20I series with New Zealand in 2024, with the Men in Green travelling to New Zealand in January and the Blackcaps returning in April.

With the postponement of the Netherlands tour, Pakistan’s T20I count leading up to the 2024 T20 World Cup will now consist of 16 matches.
