IHC summons caretaker PM in missing Baloch students case

The high court summoned the caretaker prime minister on November 29 over the non-recovery of Baloch students.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar on November 29 in a case related to missing Baloch students.

The order came during the hearing of a case about recommendations of the Enforced Disappearances Commission.

The court ordered the government to produce the 55 missing Baloch students, as per the recommendations of the commission. The premier has been summoned due to the non-recovery of Baloch students.

Meanwhile, the additional attorney-general for Pakistan has requested the court not to summon the premier and ministers.

The high court summoned the caretaker prime minister on November 29 over the non-recovery of Baloch students.

The court said that the defense minister, the home minister, the defense secretary and the home secretary should also appear before the court.

Additional Attorney General Munawar Iqbal Duggal appeared before the court on the court’s order.

The commission was formed on the order of the court, and the matter of enforced disappearances was sent to the federal government.

The court has also rejected the report of the committee of ministers formed for the recovery of missing persons.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that notice would be issued to the caretaker prime minister, the caretaker interior minister and the caretaker defense minister would also be summoned, and the caretaker human rights minister would also be called, this was the job of the executive but that work is being done by the court.
