Dawoodi Bohra community leader arrives in Karachi
Spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, along with his family members, arrived in Karachi on Monday, according to a statement from the Sindh government.
Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar received the head of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra community at Old Terminal in Karachi. Former Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwala, and members of the Bohra community were also at the airport to receive Syedna Mufaddal. They presented bouquets of flowers to him.
Upon the invitation of the government and the community members, the spiritual leader of the Bohra community arrived in the provincial capital of Sindh on Monday from Sri Lanka.
Expressing his appreciation, Dr Syedna thanked caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Bagar and others for the heartfelt welcome he received upon his arrival.
He also visited Karachi last year during which he met members of the Bohra community.
Last year, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori in his meeting with the spiritual leader of Dawoodi Bohra community requested him to pray for the development and prosperity of the country.
