A three-member team of the National Accountability Bureau on Friday interrogated PTI Chief Imran Khan in Adiala jail in the £190 million case soon after an accountability court sent him on a four-day physical remand in the case, sources said.

The team comprising NAB’s Special Prosecutor Sardar Muzzafar Abbas, Mohsin Haroon and Owaise left the prison facility after interrogating the former prime minister for two and a half hours.

Earlier today, Judge Muhammad Bashir presided over the hearing in the case in Adiala Jail, where the anti-graft body asked for a 10-day remand.

However, the judge only approved a four-day remand and adjourned the case till November 21. The court also extended Bushra Begum’s bail in the case till November 21.

After the verdict of the court, the National Accountability Bureau said it would decide how to interrogate Khan in the case going forward.

Abbas confirmed to the media that the PTI chief had been handed over to NAB till 2021 and it was now up to the NAB to decide how to interrogate him.

Imran is already being held in jail in the cipher case, registered under the Official Secrets Act, whose trials have exclusively been held in jail.

However, authorities recently obtained warrants for his arrest in the Toshakhana case and £190 million case. He was subsequently arrested from jail.

Although, the IHC restored his bail application in the Toshakhana case but he continues to be under arrest in the £190 million case.
